Facts first.
Framing second.
The Perspective Press is designed to distinguish the underlying event from the way different publications report it. This prototype uses entirely fictional sample stories and fictional outlet names; its ratings are demonstrations, not real editorial findings.
The structure of every story
First, a full-width factual summary describing the event. When there is a meaningful difference in coverage, three columns explain the actual emphases observed in left-, center-, and right-leaning reporting. No comparison is displayed when the coverage substantially agrees.
The disagreement scale
Publication principle
Real editions should contain traceable source links. Ratings should be based on what identifiable articles actually say, rather than stereotypes about news organizations. High-risk allegations should not be published automatically without sufficient verification and appropriate review.
Because this is a prototype, none of its example events, institutions, or source names should be treated as real reporting.
